Casemiro: Real Madrid would welcome Paul Pogba

Real Madrid would ‘welcome’ Paul Pogba signing for the club according to Casemiro, who believes the Frenchman ‘is compatible with anyone’.

The Manchester United midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to Los Blancos this summer by several reports in the Spanish media.

“He is compatible with anyone because he is a great player, he will be welcome if he arrives, but he is not there and we have to respect United,” Casemiro told an event on Thursday, as cited by Marca.

“Signing Neymar? He’s a great player, but you have to ask the president and Neymar, a player of his quality is indisputable in any team but you have to respect PSG.

“Squad weaknesses? Those who have failed this season are the same ones who won four Champions League titles in five years, we are all very good in this squad.

“Is our cycle over? We will always have criticism when we do not win, but a bit of respect does have to be taken for a team that has won four Champions Leagues in five years.

“Whistles for Gareth Bale? He has experience and he knows how to handle that, although it is normal for him and all of us to be affected of course.

“When the fans whistle him, they whistle all of us because we are a group. We feel uncomfortable with those things. He has given us many titles.”
