Real Madrid would have to pay €80m to secure the services of Inter striker Mauro Icardi, whose future in Milan is looking increasingly uncertain, say Diario AS.
Previous reports claimed the Argentine star has a €110m release clause at the Milanese giants and has been linked to the European champions, who are keen to bolster their attacking ranks.
The 25-year-old is one of Europe’s elite goal scorers and has 15 goals for the campaign despite falling out of favour with the club’s hierarchy amid uncertainty surrounding his future.
The striker was stripped of the Nerazzurri captaincy earlier this year and has not featured in the first team for the past six weeks.
Icardi previously was in the youth ranks of Barcelona when he moved to Italy, where he played for Sampdoria between 2011 and 2013, before joining Inter.
