Martin Schoots, the agent of Tottenham playmaker Christian Eriksen, ‘does not want to add to the speculation’ regarding his client’s future.
Real Madrid and Barcelona have both been heavily linked with a move for the Denmark playmaker, whose contract at Spurs expires in the summer of 2020.
“I do not want to add to the speculation about Christian's contract and his future in football, right now he is only focusing on playing,” Schoots is cited as saying by El Mundo Deportivo.
This follows from the agent’s comments last months relating to Eriksen: “At this moment I would prefer not to join the speculations about contracts and transfers.”
In January, Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino told reporters: “He is happy here, he is showing his commitment.
“Then, what is going to happen between him and the club is not only in our hands.”
