Max Allegri remains confident on Juventus against Atletico Madrid

Juventus Coach Max Allegri has told his players to focus on playing a ‘great game’ against Atletico Madrid and not focus on overturning their two-goal deficit.

The Bianconeri trail 2-0 from the first leg in Madrid last month – when Jose Maria Gimenez and Diego Godin netted for Diego Simeone’s men – ahead of Tuesday night’s return in Turin.

“Tuesday night is clearly crucial for our Champions League campaign,” Allegri explained to reporters.

“It will be a very difficult game for us to win but if we win, we have full confidence in ourselves that we would be able to reach the final.

“We never know what will happen because in football anything is possible and what I would like more is for us to play a wonderful game against Atletico, regardless of the final result.

“I just want for us to play a great match and see where it takes us because Atletico are a great opponent and this will be as big a task as it was when we were in Madrid.

“We are already working on this.”
