Cristiano Ronaldo: Juventus believe in Champions League comeback

Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo insists he and his teammates ‘believe’ that they will overturn their Champions League deficit against Atletico Madrid.

The Old Lady trail 2-0 in their Round of 16 tie following a two-goal defeat in the Spanish capital last month, but Ronaldo – who has won the competition five times – is confident the Italian champions can launch a comeback.

“This team, in my opinion, is having a fantastic season,” Ronaldo told Juventus TV.

“We are on top of the League, 16 points ahead of second, and we are happy with what we’re doing in the league.

“We won the Super Cup against Milan, now our goal is the league, of course, and also the Champions League.

“I think the team is good, is confident, we believe. We have to do it with a special night.

“I want to say to the fans that on Tuesday night let’s think positive, let’s believe. It’s possible, but we need your help to make the stadium beautiful, everyone together.

“We need your help, as we’ll going to do our job on the pitch, try to score goals and win the game, and we need your support.

“Get ready to comeback!”
