Real Madrid join Barcelona in the race to sign Luka Jovic

Real Madrid are set to rival Barcelona for the signature of highly rated Eintracht Frankfurt striker Luka Jovic this summer.

Ernesto Valverde's side were reported to be the front runners to sign the Serbian international, however their great rivals are also interested in the 21 year-old, according to reports in Marca this morning.

Jovic has won admirers for 21 goals in all competitions for the Bundesliga side so far this season, with Premier League duo Manchester City and Arsenal also rumoured to be keen.

Reports in Germany earlier this week claim that Bayern Munich are not interested, after they agreed a deal to sign Timo Werner from RB Leipzig, and Barcelona have informed Frankfurt of their intention to make a formal bid in the summer.

The Catalan side remain confident of securing a deal for Jovic, however his form means he will be in high demand in the summer, and Real Madrid's interest could complicate it for the La Liga leaders.
