The future of James Rodriguez remains in the hands of parent club Real Madrid. according to the German club's president Uli Hoeness.
Colombian international Rodriguez has impressed in patches as part of his two year loan deal at the Allianz Arena, however the reigning Bundesliga champions are unsure about keeping him in Germany on a permanent basis.
Real Madrid look less likely to recall Rodriguez to the Santiago Bernabeu, but Bayern Munich president Hoeness confirmed that the situation remains unresolved.
"The option to confirm remains open until mid-May.
"If we execute the option to buy him, then he will stay, but it all depends on whether or not Kovac wants to sign him."
Rodriguez is reportedly available for €42 million, however Bayern Munich have to make a decision on his future before June 15th, according to reports in Diario AS.
