Real Madrid manager Santiago Solari hailed striker Karim Benzema after he scored twice in their 3-1 Copa del Rey quarter final win over Girona.
Benzema is in red hot form in recent weeks, and his 208th and 209th goals last night brought him up to sixth on the club's all time scoring list.
The French international has had his fair share of criticism during his time at Real, and Solari took a sarcastic swipe at his detractors after the game.
"I am sorry for the people who have missed out on Benzema before this week.
"There is still time to discover him, for those who only started to praise him since last week."
Solari had previously commended Benzema for playing through the pain, with a broken finger, and he has responded with five goals in his last three games for the club.
The manager also had a rallying call for the rest of his squad ahead of their weekend game against Alaves.
"This is a team of warriors and winners, and they have the challenge of continuing that.
"What we did today, we must show that spirit again tomorrow, and in the match against Alaves"
