Milan striker Gonzalo Higuain is ‘hours away’ from joining Chelsea which will free up Alvaro Morata to join Sevilla, report Marca.
The Argentine striker has previously played with Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri at Napoli, in a season where he netted 38 times for the Italian side.
The report in the Madrid daily claims the FA Cup holders will assume Higuain’s loan deal from Juventus, which includes a €36m obligation to buy and an €8m salary.
The 31-year-old only joined the Rossoneri from Juve last summer and has scored eight goals in 20 appearances for the Diavolo this season.
The former Real Madrid striker would presumably replace Morata in the squad at Stamford Bridge, with Sevilla openly keen on a move for the Spain international.
