Goalkeeper Andriy Lunin has no intention of returning to parent club Real Madrid in January despite his understudy role at Leganes, say reports.
The Ukrainian shot-stopper has started just one La Liga game at Butarque this season and has failed to dislodge the club’s first choice goalkeeper Ivan Cuellar.
A report in Diario AS claims Madrid want him to return to the Bernabeu in January as they fear a departure of Keylor Navas in the January transfer window, leaving Kiko Casilla as the back-up to Thibaut Courtois.
However, the report also claims Lunin – who joined Madrid in the summer from Zorya – has no intention of cutting short his loan deal.
He is said to have a strong working relationship with Lega goalkeeping coach Joseba Ituarte and would prefer to fight for an attainable first-team place.
