Barcelona have agreed personal terms for Ajax’s highly coveted midfielder Frenkie De Jong according to a report in Diario Sport.
The Dutch international is said to have agreed a five-year deal with the Blaugrana with an increasing salary over that period, despite more money being offered by other clubs.
Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City have also been strongly linked for the in-demand midfielder who is thought to be available for €75m next summer.
The 21-year-old has won five caps for The Netherlands and has made 65 first-team appearances for Ajax but his level of performance has ensured he has caught the attention of Europe’s leading clubs.
A report in De Telegraaf earlier this month stated Paris Saint-Germain had struct a €75m agreement for the player.
