The agent of Ajax midfielder Ajax midfielder Frenkie de Jong has confirmed his client will decide upon his next club ‘in the coming weeks’.
Barcelona are said to be prioritising a deal for the central midfielder next summer while Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City have also been strongly linked.
“The sporting aspect is the priority,” agent Ali Dursun told Voetbal International, as cited by ESPN FC.
“Frenkie must play and not be fifth in line in midfield. I think that his choice will be made in the coming weeks, so that he can totally concentrate on his football with Ajax and the Dutch national team after the winter holidays.”
The 21-year-old has won five caps for The Netherlands and has made 65 first-team appearances for Ajax.
