Former Real Madrid defender Pepe has left Besiktas six months before his contract expires, according to reports.
The 35-year-old made 52 appearances for the Turkish giants since joining on a free transfer from Madrid in the summer of 2017.
Injuries have hampered the experienced central defender in recent weeks although his exit from Istanbul appears to have come as a surprise.
Diario AS say financial reasons may be behind the outcome, which has yet to be confirmed by Beikstas.
Pepe impressed for his nation at this summer’s World Cup and has been linked with a possible return to former club FC Porto.
