Valencia midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia could face up to three months out of action with a muscular injury, according to reports in Spain.
Valencian-based radio station Tribuna Deportiva report the Central African Republic international’s absence was confirmed after undergoing tests on Thursday morning.
The 25-year-old sustained the injury in the closing stages of Wednesday night’s Champions League victory over Manchester United with the worst fears apparently now being confirmed.
The news has yet to be confirmed by the club but a typical absence for such an injury typically lasts between one and three months.
