Sergi Roberto returns to Barcelona training

Sergi Roberto has returned to light Barcelona training for the first time since injuring his hamstring against Atletico Madrid.

The utility player pulled up just before half-time during the 1-1 draw at Wanda Metropolitano on 24 November, with tests diagnosing a hamstring injury in his left leg.

The 26-year-old has subsequently missed the Blaugrana’s next five matches, among them Champions League clashes with PSV and Tottenham Hotspur, as well as the Catalan derby against Espanyol.

It remains unlikely that Roberto will feature in the Catalan giants final Liga fixtures of 2018 against Levante and Celta Vigo.
