Real Madrid boss Santiago Solari has responded to Cristiano Ronaldo’s comments that Juventus had a humbler squad than Madrid.
The Argentine was quizzed about the Portuguese star’s words earlier this week ahead of his side’s Champions League clash with CSKA Moscow.
“Humility is one of the fundamental virtues at Real Madrid, we have a humble squad who are fantastic,” Solari told reporters, as cited by El Pais.
“We have a tremendous squad of players and yes, Cristiano will always be very special for this club and these comments are personal to him.
“Winning La Liga or the Champions League? We do not have a preference for any particular tournament, including the Copa del Rey and Club World Cup – we want to win everything.
“We have a tremendous level of competitiveness and fighting spirit, we do not want to focus on just one competition as we can win them all.
“Marcos Llorente’s future? What I see in training and in matches, I am very happy with, but I do not have a crystal ball to tell you what will happen with him.
“Asensio and Isco’s lack of minutes? I have already answered that question, you should read that yourselves.”
