Valencia look to Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas

Cesc Fabregas has found himself on the periphery of Chelsea’s first-team squad this season and could be about to join Valencia, according to reports in Spain.

The Spanish midfielder has yet to start in any of the West London club’s 14 Premier League matches to date this campaign, appearing as a substitute just three times – totalling 48 minutes.

El Gol Digital claim Los Che are keen to add experience to their ranks and will aim to complete the signing of the former Barcelona midfielder on a cut-price deal this January.

The move will subsequently allow them to loan out young midfielder Ferran Torres to struggling second tier side Cordoba, the same report states.

Fabregas has been linked with a number of clubs including Milan and Atletico Madrid, but now Valencia have emerged to join the race.

Last week, the midfielder stated he would remain at the FA Cup winners until the end of the campaign.
