Cesc Fabregas ‘staying at Chelsea until the end of the season’

Cesc Fabregas has stated he will remain at Chelsea until the end of the season when his contract at Stamford Bridge expires.

The Spanish midfielder has yet to start in any of the West London club’s 13 Premier League matches to date this campaign, appearing as a substitute just three times – totalling 48 minutes.

He has been linked with a number of clubs including Milan and Atletico Madrid, but a January transfer away from Chelsea appears unlikely.

“No, I haven’t spoken to anyone,” Fabregas told reporters after Thursday night’s 4-0 Europa League win over PAOK.

“Obviously in January I can sign (a pre-contract agreement) with whoever I want and probably this will attract many clubs.

“But so far, from what I can say right now, yes I will stay here until the end of the season.

“I play at Stamford Bridge, I’m happy. That’s the most important thing. But of course every player wants to play more.”
