Neymar ‘is not on the table right now’ for Barcelona but the club’s general manager Pep Segura has not ruled out a future move for the forward.
The Brazilian joined Paris Saint-Germain last year in a world record €222m deal but press speculation has linked him with a future return to the Camp Nou or possible move to rivals Real Madrid.
“Neymar is a player who is not on the table at the moment,” Segura told an interview with Cadena Ser, as cited by El Mundo Deportivo.
“I have already said that no young player that leaves for money will return. We stand by that. But the circumstances with Neymar are totally different.
“We always must evaluate the circumstances of the market and assess what the best moves for us will be in relation to those.
“Thiago Alcantara? He left us as a professional footballer, so he enters the same parameters as Neymar and he could also return if that is what is requested.”
