Thibaut Courtois: Real Madrid have confidence and momentum

Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has hailed his side’s re-found ‘confidence and momentum’ following Sunday’s 4-2 victory at Celta Vigo.

Los Blancos have now won four games in a row – all under interim Coach Santiago Solari – and have scored 15 goals in the process as they appear to have turned a corner.

“The only difference is that we now have confidence and momentum,” Courtois told reporters, as cited by Marca.

“Before this run we did not have any luck, goals came at the wrong moments, the ball would have hit the post instead of going in, things like that.

“My run of games? I know how competitive this club is and how difficult it is for the Coach to choose in positions in a lot of games, that is why I came here.

“We have a great spirit in the dressing room and we push each other on, we all get on very well and it is a good situation for us all.

“Karim Benzema? He is criticised a lot when he does not score goals but all the players and Coaches know his quality and role in the team.”
