Sevilla goalkeeper Tomas Vaclik has reflected on his summer move to the club and insisted: “I did not doubt their offer for a minute.”
The Czech Republic international joined the Andalusian club this summer after four years at Basel and has hit the ground running with a string of impressive performances.
“After four seasons in Switzerland I thought I needed a more important challenge,” Vaclik told Estadio Deportivo.
“I never hid my dream of playing in a club the five major European leagues, which is why, when I received the offer from Sevilla , a prominent La Liga team and several times a Europa League winner, I did not hesitate a minute.”
The 29-year-old is now Sevilla's undoubted number one after the summer exits of Sergio Rico and David Soria.
