Niko Kovac has assured that Real Madrid loanee James Rodriguez is ‘very important’ to Bayern but warned ‘I can’t field 12 players’.
Kovac’s comments come after it was reported earlier in the week that James was unhappy with his lack of game time at Bayern, even directing an outburst at Kovac.
“There are always cases when one plays and the other doesn’t,” the Coach said at a Press conference.
“James is an extremely important player and has already shown that this season.
“He showed it against Schalke, Benfica and Ajax when he came on, but I can’t field 12 players.
“Still, he’ll certainly play as many games as everyone else.”
