Raul Albiol believes Juventus ‘will suffer’ on Wednesday away to their Champions League group opponents Valencia.
The Napoli central defender, a former star of Los Che, praised the standard of both teams but believes the Mestalla could give the Spanish side the advantage.
“At Mestalla, Juventus will suffer for sure and I think that at home Valencia always has many chances to win,” Albiol told reporters, as cited by Marca.
“Juventus are a difficult opponent, who this year have signed good players and who have reinforced a good team – they are one of the favourites to win the Champions League, but especially at the Mestalla, Valencia can create problems for them.
“Juve has a strong defensive side, strong in the air and with the addition of Cristiano Ronaldo, are dangerous on the counterattack.
“Valencia have signed well, particularly in attack. In the second year of Marcelino, they have good continuity and will challenge at the top end of La Liga.”
