Zinedine Zidane has hailed Karim Benzema as a ‘key team player’ for Real Madrid and praised his selflessness.
The former Madrid boss credited his compatriot for his ‘selflessness’ and underlined his important to his success across his time in charge at the Spanish capital.
“Karim was extremely important for my Madrid team,” Zidane explained to UEFA.com.
“He offered important balance in attack and was a key team player, he allowed others to thrive and he was selfless.
“Benzema was also influential to our possession game and allowing us to hold attacking power and balance with our counter-attack, he was a key team player.”
