Rodrigo Moreno insists Valencia’s draw with Atletico Madrid on Monday was a display of ‘the level they want to be at’.
The Spain international netted a volleyed equaliser ten minutes after the break for Marcelino Garcia Toral’s side and he stated they should aspire to reach the level of Atleti.
“I enjoyed the finish but it was a good team move,” Rodrigo told reporters after the match, as cited by Marca.
“To play against Atletico, to create chances to win the match and concede few chances is the level we want to be at, this is what we ask of ourselves and nothing less is good enough.
“Had we of win this match then it would not have been an unfair result, although a draw on the balance of play against great players is fine.
“Atletico matches are always really tough, especially when they are ahead in the game and we know how many games they win 1-0, so to score against them is even more important.”
