Ceballos: No complaints with Zizou

Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos has ‘no complaints’ over former Coach Zinedine Zidane, insisting he helped him become ‘more mature’.

The 22-year-old joined Los Blancos in a €16m deal from Real Betis last summer but started just four La Liga matches, although he was selected by Julen Lopetegui to start against Getafe on Sunday.

“I have no complaints over Zidane, under him I grew more mature,” Ceballos is cited as saying by Marca.

“Of course the season is tough as you have a year without playing to gain confidence but now I am starting and it is based on hard work, I could not be prouder of this.

“The aim this season is to win the league, we have a team who are compact and very serious about our objectives – we must continue on this path.

“It was important to start the league with a win and not repeat what happened last year, but we believe we can do challenge this time.

“New signings? We have three forwards, we cannot have 18! Marco (Asensio), Karim (Benzema) and Gareth (Bale) were all fantastic tonight, and they can help us win a lot.”
