Barca: No Pogba move, Rafinha stays

Barcelona director Ariedo Braida has ruled out the club signing Manchester United Paul Pogba this summer but hinted Rafinha Alcantara could stay.

France international and World Cup winner Pogba reportedly has a fractured relationship with boss Jose Mourinho while the Catalan giants reportedly had a bid rejected earlier this month.

Rafinha spent the second half of last season on loan at Inter, scoring twice in 17 appearances, but has since returned to the Camp Nou.

“I do not think we are going to sign Paul Pogba, even though he is a great player,” Braida told Radio Sportiva, as cited by Diario Sport.

“Rafinha? I feel that he is likely to stay here at Barcelona as he has a lot of quality and can settle games with how he takes care of possession, he fits our style.

“He impressed last season on loan at Inter, especially after overcoming such a bad injury, and has a lot of technical qualities for us.”
