Mina to decide Barca future today

Barcelona central defender Yerry Mina has postponed a decision on leaving the Camp Nou and will decide today where his future lies.

The Catalans were hoping to conclude a deal to sell the player to either Everton or Manchester United yesterday, but the 23-year-old has asked for time to think over the move and any decision looks like it may go down to the wire on Thursday as the English market closes at 6pm (Spanish time).

It looked earlier this week as if Mina would be going to Goodison Park, but the player and his representatives are now waiting to see what United are willing to put on the table, with the Blaugrana asking in the region of €40m for his services.

Mina joined Barca from Palmeiras in January this year, making five league appearances in what remained of the season, but the arrival of Clement Lenglet from Sevilla means he has slipped down the pecking order, while he has already admitted he would like to play at a club where there is ‘less pressure’.

United and Everton may not have it all their own way in trying to tie down Mina, with Ligue 1 outfit Lyon also monitoring the situation.
