West Ham United boss Manuel Pellegrini is considering bringing Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes to the London Stadium.
The Portugal internationals days at the Camp Nou appear to be numbered and Esport 3 claims he does not figure in boss Ernesto Valverde’s plans for the forthcoming season.
As a result, the 25-year-old – signed from Valencia in July 2016 for a reported €25m – is seeking a way out of the club in a bid for regular first-team football, with the Premier League outfit ready to offer him that opportunity.
Gomes, who suffered a hamstring injury in Barca’s first pre-season game against Tottenham Hotspur and could be out for two months, has also aroused the interest of former club Valencia.
However, West Ham are understood to want to sign the player on a permanent basis, while Los Che would prefer a loan deal with an option to buy at the end of the season.
It is thought Gomes would be open to a transfer to London and Pellegrini could grant him his wish if a deal can be agreed before the close of the English transfer market on August 9.
