Rodrigo ‘won’t push’ Valencia exit

Rodrigo Moreno would not leave Valencia ‘simply for more money’ and would only join a ‘top European club’, say Marca.

The Spain international has been strongly linked with a move away from the Mestalla this summer due to being in high-demand, with Real Madrid among the clubs interested.

The 27-year-old netted 16 goals in 31 La Liga starts at the Mestalla last season and has been included in Spain’s 23-man squad for the World Cup this summer.

The Madrid-based daily states that the striker would not join a Premier League club ‘despite greater financial incentives’ and would have ‘no interest’ in a move to Italian club Napoli.

The former Benfica striker, who started his career at the Bernabeu and had a spell at Bolton Wanderers, was the second highest Spanish scorer in La Liga this season, behind Celta Vigo’s Iago Aspas.

He has a €120m release clause at Los Che but the club may be forced to sell should a €60m offer come in, according to the report.
