Dani Carvajal has given his opinion on the never-ending debate over who is the greatest – Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo?
The Real Madrid defender played alongside Ronaldo for a number of years at the Santiago Bernabeu, but now the Portuguese has completed his move to Juventus he felt free to air his views on the pair, who have both won five Ballon d’Ors.
“I think Cristiano and Messi are hardly comparable,” Carvajal told BeIn Sports. “They are obviously two of the best players in history, but they are very different.
“Messi is a footballer who generates more football and has better vision for a pass. The ball always seems to be stuck to his feet and he always finds space.
“Cristiano is a player who focuses on getting into the area and scoring. He is a killer. They are different, but at the same time both are so good,” he declared.
