Man United approach Barca’s Mina

Manchester United have entered the race to sign Barcelona defender Yerry Mina this summer, according to reports.

Diario Sport cite a report in RMC that United have registered an interest in the Colombian international, who is open to a move to Old Trafford.

The Blaugrana paid Palmeiras €11.6m for the 23-year-old in January, but he has played just five times for the Spanish champions.

The 23-year-old netted three goals in the World Cup as he impressed with Colombia and he has been linked to a host of clubs this summer including Everton and Borussia Dortmund.

Gerard Pique and Samuel Umtiti are their first-choice partnership in central defence, while Thomas Vermaelen has proven himself as a backup and Clement Lenglet has arrived from Sevilla.
