Real Betis Coach Quique Setien has confirmed he ‘would love’ if Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos returned to the club this summer.
The 21-year-old started only four La Liga matches last season for Los Blancos and has reportedly been growing increasingly frustrated by a lack of playing time.
“Ceballos? You can never say it’s dead, we would love it if he were to join us,” Setien said on Cadena Cope’s Tiempo de Juego programme.
“Managing Spain? I did not believe they were going to call me and I never thought twice about the situation, although I am flattered that people thought I could have been their Coach.”
Ceballos left his boyhood Los Verdiblancos last summer to join the European champions but may return to Seville this summer.
Betis allegedly tried to resign the midfielder on loan in January but Spanish FA rules blocked the move due to the fact he had changed registeration within the top flight that season.
