Gianluigi Buffon expects Cristiano Ronaldo to join his former club Juventus this summer: “it would be fantastic for Italian football.”
The 40-year-old shot stopper joined Paris Saint-Germain after ending his 16-year stint at the Bianconeri, but he expects the Real Madrid star to switch to Juve.
“Ronaldo joining Juventus would not surprise me,” Buffon told Sky Sport Italia, as cited by Marca.
“That is what I would like to see because it would be good for Juventus, he would be a new hero for the club.
“Not playing with Ronaldo? It does not annoy me, but what does are the two goals he scored in the (Champions League) final and the others from last season.
“Ronaldo joining Juve would be fantastic for Italian football.”
Reports indicate the Portuguese star has agreed a four-year deal with the Italian champions worth a reported €30m per season and a transfer fee could stand at €100m.
