Ronaldo & Madrid clash over exit?

Cristiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid are reportedly in disagreement over how he will leave the club for Juventus.

Marca, AS and Corriere dello Sport all state that Madrid want Ronaldo to come forward and assume responsibility for his departure publicly.

That would be because Florentino Perez does not want to be remembered as the President who sold the Portuguese forward.

However, they warn Ronaldo is of the opinion that he is being pushed out of the club, leading to a delay in his proposed transfer.

Marca goes one step further by claiming Madrid will even pull the plug on the €100m deal agreed in principle if their request is not met.

The newspaper explains Ronaldo wants a ‘low-key’ exit but will not sign a confidentiality clause preventing him from giving his version of events in the future.

Nonetheless, AS and Il Corriere assure agent Jorge Mendes has informed Juve that Ronaldo remains intent on joining the club.

Consequently, they expect the 33-year-old to be confirmed as a Bianconero by ‘next weekend at the latest’.
