Cristiano Ronaldo is ready for ‘a new challenge’ according to agent Jorge Mendes amid talk of an imminent move to Italian champions Juventus.
Widespread reports across the Spanish and Italian press say that the 33-year-old has agreed terms for the Bianconeri with a transfer fee in the region of €100m.
“If he leaves it will be for a new challenge,” Mendes told Portuguese outlet Record, in quotes carried by a variety of Spanish media outlets.
“Should Cristiano leave Real Madrid then he will always be grateful to the club, to the president, to all the leaders, the medics, the staff and, with no exceptions, to the fans around the world.”
The Portuguese star is the subject of all of the Spanish papers leading stories on Friday morning, with Diario AS suggesting an ‘exit is imminent’.
