Valencia defender Joao Cancelo will undertake his medical at Italian champions Juventus on Wednesday ahead of a €38m transfer, according to reports.
Italian transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio reports the Portuguese will fly to Turin on Tuesday before completing his medical the following day in a transfer which is permanent rather than a loan.
The 24-year-old, who made 26 appearances on a season-long loan deal at Inter last season, is set to leave the Mestalla this summer.
It is thought that only €12m of the transfer fee will be upfront, with the remainder of the amount paid up across the next few years.
Wolverhampton Wanderers were also linked to the wing-back but Los Che have made a small discount on their €40m asking price to force through the permanent transfer.
The Milanese giants subsequently missed the May deadline to activate their €35m right to buy the defender, due to their desire to meet UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations.
Valencia would prefer to keep Cancelo but their own financial situation means they must sell before they can replenish their squad, despite qualifying for next season’s Champions League.
