Barcelona and Real Madrid are reportedly battling it out to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara.
Accoridng to Sport, Thiago could leave Bayern for €70m, alerting Barca, who feel their youth product can help fill the void left by Andres Iniesta.
However, the newspaper warns Madrid are also keen on the 27-year-old, given new boss Julen Lopetegui made him central to his plans for Spain and Mateo Kovacic could leave this summer.
Thiago made 101 appearances for the Catalans but failed to displace Xavi Hernandez or Iniesta and joined Bayern in 2013, where he has won five straight Bundesliga titles.
