Newly-promoted Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers have joined the race for in-demand Valencia wing-back Joao Cancelo, say reports.
The Portugal international spent a season on loan at Inter, but the option of the Milanese giants to sign the 24-year-old permanently for €35m expired at the end of May.
A report in Sky Italia outlines how Wolves have now lodged a €40m (£35m) offer for the defender, who made 26 Serie A appearances for the Nerazzurri last season.
On Monday, Marca outlined how the Milanese giants still maintain an interest in the player but they have been joined by Juventus and Manchester City.
Valencia would prefer to keep Cancelo but their own financial situation means they must sell before they can replenish their squad, despite qualifying for next season’s Champions League.
