Reyes set for China move

Former Spain international Jose Antonio Reyes is set to join Chinese second division side Xinjiang Tianshan Leopards, according to reports.

The 34-year-old forward joined La Liga 123 outfit Cordoba in January and helped maintain the Andalusian club’s stay in the second tier thanks to a strong finish to the campaign.

The former Sevilla forward, who has won 21 caps for his country, now looks set for a move to the Far East, according to reports throughout the Spanish press.

Reyes reportedly met with the Xinjiang-based club’s president Sun Aijun this week and has since posed for a photograph, reported on by local media.

Having previously also played for Arsenal, Atletico Madrid and Espanyol, the forward would represent a massive coup for the side who sit six points from safety at the foot of the table.
