Bayern want Barca’s Digne

Bayern Munich are lining up a summer move for Barcelona defender Lucas Digne, according to reports in the Spanish press.

El Desmarque say the German champions have registered an interest in the French full-back, as they look to replenish their defensive ranks this summer.

Juan Bernat and Jerome Boateng have both been linked with moves away from the Bavarian club with Digne, formerly of Paris-Saint Germain and Roma, identified as an ideal replacement.

The French full-back’s contract at the Camp Nou runs through to 2021 and contains a €100m release clause but Diario Sport report the club would sanction a sale in the region of €16m.

Digne has played second fiddle to Jordi Alba in his time at the Blaugrana but has always produced reliable performances when called upon.

Juventus had also been linked to the Frenchman last week, with a summer departure from the club appearing increasingly likely.
