Pablo Machin ‘fits the Sevilla profile’ according to his predecessor and the club’s new Director of Football, Joaquin Caparros.
The 43-year-old was appointed as the new Sevilla Coach on Monday, signing a two-year contract, having guided Girona to a top-half finish in La Liga.
“The club had a profile we were looking for and he fitted our profile,” Caparros told the Sevilla club website.
“He is a very thorough and meticulous Coach, who has a lot of potential and has enjoyed a magnificent campaign at Girona.
“His appointment has generated a lot of excitement and we can now all support him and wish him every success at the club.
“Carlos Marchena? He came through our academy and like Machin he puts in lots of hard work and contribution, and he has already contributed lots to the club.
“Paco Gallardo? He has not been here long but he is helping us with our technical set-up.”
