Liverpool defender Alberto Moreno maintains that Real Madrid are not favourites to win the Champions League final in Kiev.
The former Sevilla left-back also insists it is going to be a very difficult evening for both teams and that the European Cups Los Blancos have won will have no bearing on the outcome on Saturday night.
“A large part of the Spanish Press are saying Madrid are favourites and I don’t agree with that, so we take no notice of the comments that they are going to beat us easily,” said Moreno, in an interview with El Larguero.
“They are experienced in finals and have very good players, but nobody is going to think of the European Cups they have won when the game starts.
“Madrid’s victories are already in the past and the only thing we’ll be thinking of is taking the Champions League trophy home.
“I’ve said before, if I could I’d take Cristiano Ronaldo out of their team I would do, as he is their best player who can score a goal at any time,” he added.
