Roma defender and Barcelona nemesis Kostas Manolas has reportedly been offered to Real Madrid.
According to Marca, Manolas’ agent wasted no time in trying to take advantage of the Greece international’s winner to eliminate Barca from the Champions League.
The newspaper explains the representative was aware Madrid were in the market for a new centre-back and consequently ‘didn’t hesitate’ to offer his client to Los Blancos.
However, while the capital giants are quoted as having ‘good reports’ on Manolas, Madrid would have rejected the proposal on the grounds that defenders in Serie A are ‘protected far more’ than those in La Liga.
The 26-year-old joined Roma from Olympiakos in 2014 and has gone on to make 170 appearances for the Giallorossi.
