Inter’s hopes of a permanent move for defender Joao Cancelo appear to be dwindling as Valencia refuse to negotiate on missed deadlines, say reports.
The Nerazzurri have an option to sign the full-back on a €35m deal but this must be exercised before the end of May, although such a deal currently appears unlikely due to financial restraints.
A report in Gazzetta dello Sport states Los Che are unwilling to extend any deadlines or accept payments in increments as Inter hope to meet UEFA’s Financial Fair Play implementations.
Later this month Cancelo will celebrate his 24th birthday and reports suggest Real Madrid are hopeful of landing the Portugal international.
Valencia will sign Geoffrey Kondogbia outright for €25m from Inter and have confirmed they’ll pay within the pre-established time frames.
