Paul Pogba has appeared to rule out a summer exit from Manchester United after telling media “transfers are not on my mind.”
The French international midfielder had been linked with a move away from Old Trafford due to an apparent fractured relationship with boss Jose Mourinho.
Real Madrid had been one of a number of European clubs linked to the former Juventus midfielder, but a move has now been downplayed.
“Jose is the Coach, he makes the decisions,” Pogba, French TV channel Canal+, as cited by BBC Sport.
“Me, I am a player. I accept it and I have to respond on the pitch – Mourinho has made me captain. He gave me the keys, the responsibilities at a great club like Manchester United.
“For the time being, I am at Manchester United and I am only thinking about the present. We are in the FA Cup final; I have a World Cup to come.
“Transfers, all that sort of thing, are not on my mind.”
