In-form Rayo Vallecano striker Raul de Tomas admits his ‘dream’ is to be considered for parent club Real Madrid’s first team.
The 23-year-old has been instrumental in Rayo’s run into the automatic promotion places in La Liga 123, with 20 league goals in 24 starts.
“My dream is to break into the Real Madrid first team,” De Tomas told Onda Cero.
“My contract ends next year and my future with the club depends on my own performances, which I must focus on.
“But it is the same dream as every youth team player, to succeed at this club and to be considered for the highest team.
“Madrid will decide on where I play next season, and perhaps I could stay at Rayo, regardless of what division we are in.
“I’m very happy at Rayo and I want to finish as the top scorer but the main aim is to win promotion.”
