Cristiano Ronaldo admits he ‘did not expect’ for his remarkable overhead kick against Juventus to find the back of the net.
The Portuguese star’s second of the game was a remarkable effort, jumping over two metres off the ground before scoring one of his most memorable goals in the 3-0 victory.
“The goal was great…what can I say, it was fantastic,” Ronaldo told reporters after the game, as cited by Diario AS.
“I did not expect for it to be a goal!
“But I would rather talk about the game because this was amazing, we managed to score three goals against a great team like Juventus.
“Of course I’m happy because the team played very well and I scored two goals, this was a really great night!”
