Bayern Munich Coach Jupp Heynckes believes his side must improve on their performance against Sevilla if they are to win the Champions League.
The German champions edged out a 2-1 victory in Andalusia on Tuesday night but there were question marks over their level of performance.
“On the night the most important aspect was our quick equaliser,” Heynckes told Sky after the game.
“Our leveller had a good element of fortune but that can happen a lot in football and it was important for us in terms of the psychology of the game,
“However, we know that if we want to win the Champions League or even to keep progressing, we must start playing better than this.
“We were in full control of the game until Sevilla tried everything to score late on but in the first half we gave the ball away too often, allowing them to create chances.
“In the second half we improved and controlled the game, which I liked, and on the balance of play our win was deserved.”
