Allegri: Ronaldo is extraordinary

Juventus Coach Massimiliano Allegri has described Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo as ‘extraordinary’ ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League clash.

The Portuguese forward netted two goals in last season’s Champions League final for Madrid and has netted 18 goals in 10 matches for club and country since the turn of the year.

“We have to be very good as a unit [to stop him],” Allegri told his pre-match press conference on Monday.

“I think we need to congratulate Ronaldo because for a player to be 30 or 31 and change his playing style completely is something extraordinary.

“Isco or Bale to start? You’d have to ask Zidane as I am the Juventus Coach and I am in no position to make a call or comment about it.

“Honestly, I think Bale may be more likely but then maybe it will be Isco, I honestly do not know.”
